The Paperclip Gazette

Sunday Grand Fair, Pick one

Long day at the market for the treehouse

Sunday’s treehouse went for 10 trades. 18 traders made a trade; 17 reached the treehouse, 6 of them by the shortest route.

Sunday’s prize: a treehouse, 10 trades from a red paperclip, at the week’s biggest market.

How the market went

The opening bell

The tailor was the favourite first trade, with 13 traders, but it rules out the 10-trade route. 5 went to the librarian first. The librarian was the way to go.

Dead ends

Nobody traded their way into a dead end.

The route

Only one set of 10 trades gets there. Open it only if you want the answer.

Today’s market is open

A new market opens every day at midnight where you are. It’s free, and there’s nothing to sign up for.

The Gazette is written each day from the market’s own numbers: anonymous counts of trades and solves, nothing about anyone. A puzzle’s edition comes out once it’s over everywhere in the world, at noon UTC the next day. Kept by Pranav Bhaven Savla, who makes Paperclip.
